A few weeks ago I traveled to Augusta, GA to spend the weekend with a group of bloggers and it was the absolute BEST!! This was not only my first time visiting Augusta, but my first time meeting any of these girls in person. Of course I was a little nervous, but mostly excited to hang out with the girls and explore a new city! Augusta was adorable (it kind of reminds me of Greenville!) and I would highly recommend visiting for a girls weekend or even as a romantic getaway. Here’s a full recap of the weekend, and my outfits of course! 😉

Most photos are taken by Julia Akiko! So thankful to have had her with us for the weekend!

WHERE TO STAY
Crowne Plaza North Augusta

We stayed at the Crowne Plaza our first night in Augusta and it was an incredible experience! The hotel is clean, modern, spacious, and the staff went above and beyond to make sure we were accommodated.  They have a great bar & restaurant downstairs, as well as a rooftop bar which was the place to be on Friday night! The hotel is conveniently located in SRP park (next to the baseball stadium) so whether you’re staying for a night or a weekend, there is plenty to do all within walking distance. We also got to check out their event spaces and just fyi for anyone planning a wedding – definitely check this place out!! The ballroom is gorgeous and they have a really nice outdoor area as well! Overall our stay was fantastic – I can’t say enough good things about this hotel! Highly recommend staying here if you’re visiting Augusta!!

The Partridge Inn

We stayed at the Partridge Inn our second night, which was a completely different vibe from the Crowne Plaza! The Partridge Inn is the most charming boutique hotel, and located near downtown Augusta. If you’re wanting to stay somewhere more historic, this is your place – and like any old Southern Inn… it’s haunted!  ðŸ˜‰ While the hotel is historic, it’s been newly renovated so all of the amenities are up to date. My room was large, comfortable, and very clean! The hotel also has a bar & grill with a beautiful furnished balcony as well as a rooftop terrace with incredible views of Augusta – not to mention the pool!! We hung out at the pool all Saturday afternoon which was so much fun! The staff even brought us out drinks & snacks – we were so spoiled!! I would absolutely recommend the Partridge Inn – especially for a romantic getaway!

WHERE TO EAT & DRINK

Salt & Marrow: This restaurant is located in the Crowne Plaza, and it was probably my favorite meal of the weekend.  The menu is incredible – we ordered wine, most of the appetizers, and I got the steak and lobster special for dinner. After dinner we split some desserts and had a shot of espresso (much needed as we were all in a food coma after this meal haha)  10/10 recommend – the food, service, everything was phenomenal.

Jackson’s Bluff: The best rooftop bar, also located at the Crowne Plaza! We hung out there Friday night after the Green Jackets game had such a good time trying some of their signature cocktails. Highly recommend the “boozy pops” (basically, liquor infused ice pops)

Bodega Ultima: Such a cute spot for breakfast or brunch!  I had avocado toast with an egg on top, an iced latte and a mimosa. Everything was SO good!

DiVino North Augusta: Great Italian restaurant in the most adorable neighborhood! Definitely recommend sitting outside if the weather is nice. We ordered the fried calamari and the charcuterie board as appetizers (both were incredible) and I got the seafood risotto for dinner. Make sure you save room for dessert – we thought we were full until the desserts came out haha.  SOO GOOD!

P.I Bar & Grill: This is the restaurant at the Partridge Inn – we had some cheese plates & champagne on the balcony here Saturday afternoon, and then came back for breakfast Sunday before heading home. The breakfast was amazing – I had an omelette with potatoes and cheese grits. A lot of the girls got the chicken & waffles or the French toast,  and those were equally mouth watering.

P.I In the Sky: The rooftop terrace/bar at the Partridge Inn was amazing! The views were incredible as were the cocktails. We had pre-dinner drinks here on Saturday, and came back again after dinner.  Definitely a popular spot and worth checking out.

WHAT TO DO

Attend a Green Jackets baseball game at SRP Park. We went to a game Friday night and it was so much fun!!

Shopping!  Make sure to check out Fab’rik Augusta and The Swank Company – two of my favorite boutiques that we visited!

Pool day at Partridge Inn.  If you’re wanting more of a chill day, definitely hang out at the pool here! It’s such a cute spot, I could have stayed there all day!

Huge thank you to Holly Mae for giving us such fun festival style hair! Still obsessed with my mini buns and wish I could recreate them!!

Happy Hour – Highly recommend the rooftop bars at the  Crowne Plaza North Augusta and The Partridge Inn.

Explore! Drive around and see the city – Hammond’s Ferry is an adorable area in North Augusta.  We borrowed a couple Volvo SUV’s from Gerald Jones Volvo to get us around for the weekend. The cars were sooo nice, and somehow fit all of us (and our bags!!)

All of our outfits are from Pink Lily – linking them here!

Huge thank you to everyone who helped make this weekend amazing –  I’ll definitely be back to visit Augusta again!!

Wow. Augusta GA looks like a fun happening place. I must suggest this to my boyfriend for a romantic getaway. Looks like you had a fun fashionable time. Love all of the summer fashion. I rather deal with the summer heat and humidity over winter. Fall to me is winter especially up north.

Augusta would be perfect for a romantic getaway!! I would love to bring my fiancé back to visit with me. And I’m the same way about summer – I’d rather be hot than cold any day! I don’t think I’d survive winter in the north haha
