NSALE 2020: Preview & Shopping Guide

It’s about that time!!! The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale Preview is out, and it’s going to be good this year! I’ve shopped the NSale for years and like I mentioned in my latest blog post, things tend to sell out quickly. I went through the preview and put together some lists below to help you prepare, and this year you can add items to a “wish list” which is new! I’ve noticed that new items have been added to the preview since it came out yesterday, so I’ll update this post as things are added – feel free to bookmark this page so you can easily check back! Pro Tips for Shopping:

1. Make a list of your top priority items

Think about what items you need (or want) to shop from the sale, and make a priority list. Need a new pair of jeans, basic tees/tanks, jackets, boots, activewear, or even a designer item you’ve been eyeing for a while? Check out the sale preview ahead of time, and cross reference your list with the items I marked above as high risk sell outs so you know that items to go after first.

2. When it’s time to shop: purchase priority items before browsing the rest

If there is something that you really want, purchase that item as quickly as you can because having it in your cart does NOT hold it for you. Last year, tons of orders were cancelled after checkout because there wasn’t enough inventory – it happened to me! This is where having a priority list comes in handy, and I’d recommend buying those items before browsing the rest of the sale. Nordstrom has free shipping & free returns, so there is no downside to having multiple different orders.

3. Buy now & return later

Not sure what size or color to get? I’d recommend ordering multiple options so you can take time to decide which to keep once you have them in hand, and then return the rest later. Like I mentioned before, Nordstrom has free shipping & free returns – they include a prepaid shipping label in every box, so the return process is extremely easy. You can also return any Nordstrom purchase to a Nordstrom Rack store if you prefer to do in-person returns and don’t have a Nordstrom nearby.
