The Holidays are all about gathering with friends and family, and it’s my favorite time of the year to host! A bar cart is a must when it comes to entertaining, and it’s often a focal point of the room. I love styling our bar cart for each season, but I go all out for Christmas! Christmas Tree Shops is my go-to store for every season and every reason, but it’s especially magical when holiday items hit the shelves! Another thing that I love about CTS is that you can walk in and get inspired – decor shopping can be overwhelming, but the store offers different themes each year to make it easy selecting items that will look good paired together. There is something for everyone’s decor style! This year I’m going with the Noel Noir theme, and I love how it makes the bar cart really stand out!

I always like to incorporate garland into my decor, and Christmas Tree Shops had several affordable options! I also included a few classic touches: white ceramic houses, a snowman figurine, and I couldn’t resist this sequin stocking – I think it ties everything together! I also found this beautiful gold vase and faux poinsettia stems at Christmas Tree Shops and thought they’d be a perfect touch that I can use year after year.

I always buy my seasonal wreathes at Christmas Tree Shops but since I already have one up in the kitchen, I thought a bow would be the perfect accent to hang above the bar cart! They had a huge variety of styles and sizes to choose from. Signs are always fun, and the “Eat Drink and be Merry” sign felt pretty appropriate for a bar cart! I like that it adds some height to the top of the cart, and matches perfectly with the theme. My family always had nutcrackers on display during the holidays, so I had to include one of those. They’re kind of hard to find these days, but CTS had tons!!

Decor tip: Ornaments aren’t just for Christmas trees! I love incorporating them into other areas of holiday decor – grab a few different shapes and sizes to fill any awkward spaces you may have. I added a large ornament to the garland on the left side, and the smaller sleigh ornament fills the middle space when there aren’t drinks on top!

Signature Drink

Each year I like to have a signature cocktail, and this year I’m going with one of my all time favorites: a cranberry mimosa, also known as the poinsettia drink! It’s light and festive with only a few ingredients, and the best part? You don’t have to mess with a cocktail shaker. Mimosas are great because they can be served for any type of gathering whether it’s brunch, lunch, dinner, or on its own.

Here’s how to make it:

Ingredients

• Bottle of Champagne or Prosecco
• Cranberry juice (unsweetened)
• Orange Liquor (Triple Sec, Grand Marnier or Cointreu)
• Garnishes (optional): frozen cranberries and rosemary sprigs

Directions

• In a champagne flute or tall wine glass, pour in the orange liquor and cranberry juice (as much as you prefer)
• Fill the rest of the glass with Champagne or Prosecco
• Garnish with frozen cranberries and a rosemary sprig
• Enjoy!

The great part about this recipe is that it’s customizable to each person – you can use as much or as little cranberry juice and liquor as you like. The frozen cranberries will help keep the drink chilled, and you can use any type of glasses for serving. I found these festive wine glasses at Christmas Tree Shops and they turned out perfect for this drink! The red stems make really them stand out, and at $5 each I could easily get enough to host a crowd! They also look nice sitting out when not in use.
