Happy Friday friends!! For today’s Friday Five, I’m sharing the 5 apps that I use every day to help run my blog/business. There are sooo many apps out there and of course I use more than 5 on a daily basis, but these are my absolute essentials:

  1. Instagram: Instagram is the biggest marketing tool for my blog because it’s where a majority of my audience engages. I do use Twitter and Pinterest (not really into Facebook) but I love that Instagram gives me the ability to interact on a more personal level with IG stories. It’s also easier to get posts up on Instagram daily – blog posts take a lot longer to put together, and it’s important to provide a consistent source of content. I also have a business Instagram account, so I can see analytics behind my followers and my content which is helpful.

2. RewardStyle: This is the app I use to link my outfits for you to shop on my blog and on my LIKEtoKNOW.it page.  I can also save links on the app so when someone asks me to send a link, it only takes about 10 seconds to grab it (as long as I have it saved.) This app also gives me data on what items people are clicking on and buying through my links, which helps me know what my audience is interested in so I can focus on that. *This app is only available if you are accepted into RewardStyle, and it’s against the policy to share a screen shot – sorry!

  • LIKEtoKNOW.it is the app you can use to shop my outfits, but I also use it on a daily basis. I follow over 2,000 bloggers on Instagram so my feed is cute outfit after cute outfit.. and if I want to see where someone’s outfit is from – I just search for that blogger in the LIKEtoKNOW.it app and I can immediately get their outfit links. It’s super easy! I also upload more to my LIKEtoKNOW.it page than I do to my Instagram, and you can follow me in the app to make sure you don’t miss anything.

3. Canva: This is the app I use to create templates, collages, my media kit, Pinterest visuals, etc. It’s free and really easy to use! Any templates that you see in my IG stories are made in Canva.

4. Preview: I use this app to plan my Instagram posts, which is important for maintaining a cohesive feed. I try to have my posts planned in advance and I don’t want to have too many similar posts in a row. I like to mix it up with close ups/full body shots, sitting/standing, mirror selfies, etc. and this app allows me to see what a post will look like in the grid before I post it.

5. Lightroom CC: My most asked question lately has been how I edit my photos, and I use the Lightroom mobile app! I have a few presets (basically a filter) that I created in Lightroom and I use them to edit my pictures. Using a preset helps to keep my Instagram feed looking cohesive. Here is a before & after using one of my presets:

Ok so I know that was technically 6 apps, but RewardStyle & LIKEtoKNOW.it kind of go together 🙂 Thanks for stopping by and I hope you all have an amazing Friday!!
