24 hours in Nashville

Last week I took a short (and by short, I mean less than 24 hour) trip to Nashville, TN and while I wasn’t there for long, I squeezed in as many activities as possible during my visit! I wanted to do a quick recap of the trip in case anyone else needs some ideas of what to see or do there if you’re short on time.

I was in town for The Pink Lily Boutique’s Fall Collection launch party, which was so much fun! I’ve worked with Pink Lily for a couple years and they’re one of my favorite online boutiques.  The party was basically a networking event – they invited a great group of fashion bloggers out to see (and wear) some of the new fall collection and get to know the Pink Lily team. Photo below is from the event!

Anyways, on to the Nashville part!

Where to eat:

Bartaco: Went to a late lunch with the girls here straight from the airport, and highly recommend! I loved the open air atmosphere and the food was delicious. We got a variety of things to share for the table – chips, guacamole, salsa, and of course tacos! I’m not a big margarita lover but they’re famous for the house margaritas. I opted for a mojito instead. which was so good and refreshing! Pro tip: they have a secret taco available that’s not on the menu – you have to ask the waiter what it is and they’ll tell you what it is. I heard the next one is going to involve some type of hot chicken… yummm!

Liberty Common: A couple of us went to brunch here the morning after the event, and I can’t even describe how adorable this restaurant is!! The decor is beautiful – white marble tables, baby blue booths.. basically an Instagram dream. I ordered a Bloody Mary and the quiche of the day, and both were delicious. I will 100% be returning next time I’m in Nashville! The other great thing about this restaurant is that it’s walking distance to Broadway, so you can go straight from brunch  to all the action!

Other recommendations I was given (but didn’t have time to try): Mockingbird, Pinewood Social, The Southern, Biscuit Love, Hattie Bs Hot Chicken, The Pharmacy, Acme, Etch, Puckett’s, The Listening Room, Blue Bird Cafe

Where to stay:

We stayed at a Domio house and loved it!  Domio is similar to Airbnb, but the houses are managed by a company and not a person. I stayed with a group of girls and it was way easier to have a house vs trying to coordinate hotel rooms. If you’re visiting with a group, I highly recommend checking them out – it would be perfect for a bachelorette party!! There are tons of Domio houses in Nashville, and a lot of them have rooftop patios (like ours.)  You can use code: STAYDOMIO15 for 15% off your stay at any Domio property – not just Nashville!

What to do:

Visit Broadway: If you do ONE thing in Nashville, visit Broadway Street! It’s such a fun vibe and there are so many things to see and do. There’s live music playing in almost every bar/honkey tonk and many places have rooftops which are always fun, day or night! You can post up somewhere and enjoy the music, or check out out several places (which is what we did!) The rooftops that overlook Broadway are also great for people watching.

Find the Murals: Nashville is known for it’s street art, and there are TONS of murals throughout the city! I found this blog post that breaks them down by location – great photo opp!! We only saw one (it was next to Bartaco where we had lunch) but would have loved to see more if I had more time!

Other recommendations that I was given:

  • Visit the Country Music Hall of Fame and Museum
  • Visit the Grand Ole Opry House
  • Take a bus tour
  • Attend a sporting event
