Layers for Fall Transition

September 8, 2017

Happy Friday everyone! For a short week, this one has been a little crazy and I am definitely happy to see the weekend in sight. If only every weekend was a 3 day weekend 🙂

I wanted to share one of my favorite layered looks for transitioning into fall weather. I actually love layering year round because I am always cold, especially in the summer when everywhere cranks the AC inside. I know I post a lot of pictures wearing cardigans, but I really do wear them almost every day for part of the day. I snagged 3 on sale during the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale back in July, and even though they aren’t on sale anymore, I think they’re totally worth the full price.

I love the dark green color of this cardi – It keeps selling out but, it has just been restocked in a few different sizes and colors (including this one) so if you like this one, grab it now!! It runs a little big so I am wearing an XS. Not in these pictures obviously, but I have been pairing this cardi with leopard print shoes and it looks great. I love the burgundy color too – so perfect for fall!

For days when it starts out cool in the morning but then warms up throughout the day, I like to wear lots of layers that I can adjust to the range of temperatures. Scarves are one of my favorite accessories because they’re warm and cozy, can be taken on and off quickly, and they also can double as a blanket (I always bring a scarf on flights for this reason.)

I’ve linked a few of my favorite pieces at the bottom of this post that are perfect for layering. The best part is that they can be mixed and match to create several different looks, so you can get away with wearing the same thing multiple times without anyone noticing 😉

On a TOTALLY different note – I had to take my husky Kodi to the vet on Wednesday to get his bloodwork done, because he is on medication for seizures (he has about 1 a month now) and the test was to determine whether they needed to increase his dosage or add another medication to it. So the results came back yesterday, and they recommended adding another medication once or twice a day.

They don’t know if it is possible for any amount of medication to stop the seizures completely, and the more medications we add, the more it will affect his personality. I am so nervous about starting him on MORE drugs.  I absolutely hate that he has to go through this. I wish there was something I could do for him. If any of you have gone through this with your fur babies, feel free to send me any advice that you have. I am giving him the new medication starting this morning, so I am just praying that it goes well.

Love the layering and the dark green sweater is such a perfect Fall transition piece. I am so sorry to hear about Kodi, I don’t have a dog so I have no idea. I wish I could be of more help. I pray that all goes well.
