As someone who works from home, I spend a lot of time in my home office. Not only do I want it to be a space that I love, but I can also tell a big difference in productivity when my work space is neat and organized. My home office is a little unique – it doubles as a closet, and my round desk isn’t a “traditional” office desk. With a round desk or table I like to stick with circular items for decor, and I found some great items at Christmas Tree Shops! I started with this round basket which not only looks nice, but it also serves as a catch-all for any small items I happen to have floating around my desk. Clutter is inevitable, and this helps to keep my work space nice and tidy so I can stay focused. I also added a rotating supply holder which is perfect for anything I need to keep within reaching distance such as pens, pencils, highlighters or scissors.

I have a small dresser in my home office which is where a majority of my office essentials are stored. I found some great affordable items at Christmas Tree Shops that have really helped to keep things organized, both on top of the dresser and in the drawers. I couldn’t resist adding a couple decorative pieces and I absolutely love the faux eucalyptus stems – they even came with the glass vase and strand of wooden beads! I especially love swapping out florals for greenery during the Fall to create more of a cozy feel. As someone who always has papers floating around, I was so excited to find some rose gold file holders that I can keep out on the dresser for quick access to papers or notes. The note pads are also from Christmas Tree Shops and I find myself grabbing for them constantly.

I’ll admit that my dresser drawers were a little bit (ok, a lot) of a mess before, which drove me crazy when I could never find anything. I added some clear storage containers which have made the biggest difference in keeping the drawers organized, and Christmas Tree Shops had all kinds of shapes and sizes to choose from. I especially love the containers with a grip bottom because it keeps things from sliding around. Also how cool is this multi-function office tool? It’s a stapler, tape dispenser, and paper clip holder in one. Another CTS find I didn’t know I needed, but am so glad to have found!

Floating shelves are great for decor and for storage, and I like to use them for both 🙂 Christmas Tree Shops has the best selection of affordable items, and I found some great pieces to display in my office. The mini globe adds such a sophisticated touch, and it came in all kinds of fun colors! I also grabbed a couple paper weights that look nice on the shelf when not in use, and some mini decorative boxes for small item storage. I added a block calendar to the shelf across my desk so I can easily check the date, and I love how it looks! Great gift idea for coworkers, by the way. Lastly I picked up a few notebooks which are always an office must – I had a hard time choosing because there were TONS of options, but luckily with the prices at CTS I was able to get multiple for what one would have cost at another store.
